About Sara – WA

Hi, I’m Sara. I love to read. I like to read especially while sitting by my living room window overlooking the beautiful Puget Sound, sipping a cup of coffee. It should be noted that I’m from Seattle and much coffee is consumed while I read or do anything for that matter. (I actually live in Steilacoom, but nobody knows where that is.)

I’d like to attribute my love for reading to my Dad. He used to read to my brothers and me most nights. Usually, he read from “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S. Lewis or “The Moral Compass” by William Bennett.  I often would have NO idea what he was reading about, but I loved it anyway.

In high school, I fell in love with the classics and would read nothing else. In college, I read only textbooks. When I graduated, I was overwhelmed by the freedom I had to read whatever I wanted. So, I went back to my Narnian roots and began reading fantasy. I fell in love with being whisked away to a different world where anything was possible. And yes, like Gaby, I fell in love with Harry Potter.

Actually, as I’m writing this, I’m watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. It felt like the right thing to do.

I also love to read, because I love to learn. I can get goose bumps from reading a piece of research on new treatment techniques for a musculoskeletal disorder. (Did I mention I’m a physical therapist assistant. . . and a geek?) Don’t worry; I won’t be reviewing any of that.

And, the Word of God never fails to take my breath away.

When I’m not reading, I’m working, spending time with family and friends, enjoying outdoorsy activities in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, or scheduling my next vacation to Tennessee to visit Gaby  – I mean my brother.

Thank you so much for visiting our blog. I hope you enjoy our reviews, but mostly that you would fall in love with reading like we have.

  1. Your bio is as darling as you are! I have always loved to read your writing! Did I mention that I taught you to write a complete sentence? I still don’t see any mention of the fact that I was cleaning the kitchen while you learned to love books! Oh well–perhaps your other siblings realize they have a mother…. Love you (anyway), Sara !
