So I am obviously a sucker for a love story. So much so, I have read three books in the hopes to find out why this couple, Luce and Daniel can’t be together. Well, in this installment of the Fallen Series, Luce is determined to find out why she and Daniel have been cursed to fall in love and for her to die in all her past lifetimes. So she has learned enough about the shadows, that plagued her in this life, to use them to travel in time to her past lives. I have to say, I thought this journey was going to be sad and depressing. Her and Daniel finding each other, falling in love and her being destroyed. Surprisingly, it was quite lovely. They do have some history and the stories do not all play out the same. It was very enjoyable and enlightening, but we don’t really find out about the curse till the very last chapter. Daniel is chasing her through time believing he is just keeping her from changing the past and endangering the chances of happiness they have in the future. He begins to learn as much as Luce and has a very important part in the chance they have in this life time.
So, after all this, I am confused, time travel, curses, angels, Satan, good, evil. There is so much going on, at this point, I am not sure I completely understand. I really am enticed by Daniel and Luce’s love, but I am not completely sure I understand how they got here. There was not enough time, in my opinion, spent on why this curse was placed on them and what is is that they angels are battling for. I am really interested in Daniels part of why this curse was placed, but really it encompasses about a two paragraphs. I need more!! At this point, I am more frustrated it took this long to get to the why’s. But, because of my OCD I am going to have to read the last book in this series. Because of how long it has taken to get some answers, I can’t give it any more than three stars. Maybe the last book, Rapture, will knock my socks off and make it all clear! That would be great, I would love it for all the angels, Luce and Daniel! Oh yeah and for me!
